Lodge & Rooms
Situated along a wooded drainage line and surrounded by striking granite outcrops, Nkuwa Wilderness Camp offers an intimate safari experience in the heart of the bush. The camp comprises four en-suite safari tents, each designed to provide comfort while remaining closely connected to the natural surroundings.
Guests can unwind in the communal lounge and dining area or gather around the boma fire beneath the stars, embracing the tranquillity and atmosphere of the African wilderness.
Wildlife
During the dry season, vegetation is sparse and wildlife congregates around the waterholes, making game viewing easier. In the wet season, wildlife is more dispersed as the bush becomes lush. Guests can expect to see the Big Five during a 2–3 night stay. Other animals commonly encountered include giraffe, zebra, warthog, impala, kudu, waterbuck, wildebeest, bushbuck, baboon, and hyena. Birdlife is abundant, with species such as hornbills, rollers, eagles, kingfishers, and starlings frequently spotted. The diversity of habitats across Selati means there’s always a chance of spotting rarer species such as wild dog, cheetah, or civet.
